Two 40 foot high cube containers were loaded at the factory this week, carrying 160 e-bikes for a distributor in Chile. The shipment includes city models and e-MTBs in a mix of frame sizes, plus a spare parts carton.
Before loading
- Every bike road tested and re-checked by QC before packing
- Battery state of charge set between 30 and 50 percent for safe transport
- Lithium battery packing to UN 38.3 and IATA requirements
- Foam protection on frames, bikes strapped with cardboard separators
- Container loaded to a fixed plan so the weight stays balanced
The vessel departs from Qingdao port. Estimated transit time to San Antonio is 32 to 38 days, and the shipping documents are issued within 3 working days after departure.
Loading is recorded on video from the warehouse dock for every container, so customers have a record of the condition of the goods before the doors were sealed. Ask your account manager if you would like the footage for your own shipment.
